SwT Certified MC3 Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program:

With a focus on Black and Latina women, our goal is to reach people who never thought this career was for them, and those who believed they'd never have an opportunity to secure a job in the building trades.  We aim to reach undeserved and underrepresented communities, including immigrants, justice-involved individuals, people with disabilities, veterans, and out of school youth.

Our goal is to help our clients determine which building and construction trades jobs they are best suited for. Our Bootcamp includes an Introduction to the Building and Construction Trades course. Additionally, potential participants will undergo the following assessments to determine their eligibility for the program:  Emotional Intelligence, English Literacy, Reading Comprehension, and Math and referrals to remedial skills and English as a Second Language training.

Our priority is to mitigate barriers that may hinder our clients' ability to obtain a career in the building and construction trades. We employ Social Service Worker(s), Certified Physical Therapists, Orthopedic Physicians, and Certified Fitness Trainers to conduct thorough and holistic assessments to determine potential barriers, that our clients may face, including physical and mental health concerns. These professionals will work with clients to implement strategies to mitigate barriers that might limit their ability to successfully complete their pre-apprenticeship training and beyond.

Prior to entering the MC3 training program eligible participants will attend a Skills Lab designed to develop and enhance skills necessary for building and construction trades jobs. The Skills Labs will focus on math, reading comprehension, and language mechanics.
